A painter
He was born in 1957 in Waliły near Białystok. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw; he got a diploma in Tadeusz Dominik’s atelier in 1984. Since 1996 he ran The Guest Painting Studio. He made his debut in the Foksal Gallery in Warsaw in 1984. He took part in Biennale in Sao Paulo in 1987 and in Aperto ’88. He was also the author of the realization in the Polish Pavilion at 49th bBiennale of Contemporary Art in Venice in 2001. Tarasewicz’s paintings are the result of his interest in nature and observation of a landscape which in his paintings took forms on abstract and regular forms. Tarasewicz is also the author of an installations which be paints directly on the walls and floors of the exhibition halls.
