Ziemski Rajmund

A painter
He was born In 1930 in Radom, died on the 5th of August 2005 in Warsaw. He studied between 1949-55 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Artur Nacht-Samborski’s direction. Since 1958 in the same school he ran a painting studio. He made his debut during an All-Poland Exhibition of Young Plastic Arts “Against the war – Against Fascism” at Arsenał in Warsaw (1955). A little bit later, during so called “thaw”, he was affiliated with a group of artists gathered around Marian Bogusz and the gallery that he ran – “Crooked Circle”. Ziemski’s painting has its roots in the informel abstraction. The artist was also strongly inspired by the landscape which is visible in his works of art.
